DIRECT FOREIGN INVESTMENT
The Indian Investment Centre promotes wider knowledge and understanding in the capital exporting countries of the world, of conditions, laws, policies, procedures and incentives pertaining to investment and the infrastructural facilities available and of investment opportunities in India.
It advises and assists foreign entrepreneurs on matters pertaining to financial and technical collaborations in India.
It functions as a single reference point for foreign investment projects and assists Indian and foreign entrepreneurs in meeting the procedural requirements of project approvals and in over-coming bottlenecks, if any, in the process for implementation of the project.
It advises foreign investors on setting up industrial projects in India by providing information regarding investment environment and opportunities, the Government industrial and foreign investment policies, taxation laws and facilities and incentives and assists them in identifying collaborators in India.
It assist Indian companies in identifying source of capital and technology abroad facilitating foreign collaborations. It undertakes promotional work and guides entrepreneurs abroad through designated officers in the Indian Diplomatic Missions and other organisations.
NON-RESIDENT INDIAN INVESTMENT
It is the nodal agency for promoting investment in India by Non Resident Indians (NRIs), Persons of Indian Origin and Overseas Corporate Bodies with NRI holding and provides them escort services.
It is functioning as a single window agency for projects with NRI investment and provides all necessary services for setting up such projects.
It apprises them of Government policies and procedures and the facilities and incentives available to them
It provides them the necessary data for the selection of projects.
It assists them in obtaining the approval of the Government authorities.
It is represented on the State Level Review Committees which monitor the implementation of the projects and thereby helps them in removing difficulties, if any, in the process of implementation.
JOINT VENTURES ABROAD/THIRD COUNTRY PROJECTS
It provides information and assistance to Indian entrepreneurs for setting up joint ventures in other countries.
It provides information and assistance to foreign entrepreneurs in locating suitable Indian parties for collaboration in the establishment of projects abroad including third country projects.

INDUSTRIAL INFORMATION SERVICE
To meet the needs of foreign and Indian entrepreneurs and NRIs, the Indian Investment Centre operates a scheme of Industrial Information Service, providing information on the status of industries in India and profiles for industrial projects prepared by different organisations.
PUBLICATIONS
The Indian Investment Centre brings out publications which provide authentic information on various aspects of Government policies, procedures and regulations as also facilities, incentives and opportunities available to entrepreneurs in various industrial fields, both in India and abroad.
Some of the important publications are in the field of industrial policy including foreign investment, technological development facilities for NRIs, Facilities and incentives for 100% EOUs and units setting up in EPZs and guidelines for setting up JVA.
MONTHLY NEWSLETTER
This provides factual information on current economic developments in Indian and is an authentic source of information about foreign collaborations approved by the Government of India and the Reserve Bank of India and industrial licences and letters of intent issued by the Government of India.

The Indian Investment Centre circulates authentic texts of various press notes, notifications etc., issued by the Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion to keep the entrepreneurs informed of the latest developments regarding the policies and the procedures.
